About the role
This position is for a highly-skilled analyst and researcher to conduct and/or support commissioned economic, social, technological, environmental, and policy analyses of the South African fossil fuel industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in economic and environmental analysis, excellent critical reasoning skills, and experience in translating complex technical findings into clear, policy-relevant insights in a manner that is compelling and understandable to a general audience. We are looking for someone with a good understanding of current issues relating to the just energy transition, and a sophisticated grasp of the role and impacts of corporate power in shaping national energy policy.
