In September 2017, Greer joined the Centre for Environmental Rights, to help establish Just Share, and was one of Just Share’s first employees from March 2018.
Greer holds a PGDip in Sustainable Development from Stellenbosch University (cum laude). In 2018, Greer completed the Institute of Directors’ Being a Director (Part 1-4) programme, and in 2020, she completed the University of Cambridge’s Sustainable Finance online course.
Prior to joining Just Share, Greer worked as Research and Engagement Specialist at a sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) rating and verification service provider. The boutique consultancy focussed on supporting unlisted African businesses improve their ESG performance, to build business resilience and attract responsible investors. Before that, Greer worked for an international organisation, helping SMMEs build effective board governance processes, competency and capacity, focussing on providing training and other services including the appointment of independent non-executive directors.
Greer has been an activist at heart since a young age and is passionate about actively contributing to creating a more just, resilient and regenerative economy and society. Her areas of interest include: post-GDP futures, feminist economics, shareholder activism, stakeholder capitalism, doughnut economics, just transition, climate change, inequality, ethical leadership and social and environmental justice and responsibility.
