Lauren Burnhill

Non-executive Director

Lauren Burnhill is a global leader in inclusive, sustainable finance, helping organisations integrate financial, environmental, and social goals to create innovative funding solutions that benefit people, planet, and profits. She pioneered the “Access to Life” finance concept for sectors like health and renewable energy, complementing MSME microfinance. Lauren holds a Master’s in Social Change from Johns Hopkins SAIS, an MBA from Wharton, and a Development Finance Professional Certification.

Xolisa Dhlamini (Chair)

Non-executive Director

Xolisa is the Head of Distribution at Sanlam Corporate, with 17 years’ experience in financial services and sustainable and responsible investing. He previously taught at UCT GSB, chaired the UCT Retirement Fund investment committee, and was head of Africa for the PRI. He holds a Master’s in Development Finance from UCT. He is also a chartered development finance analyst (CDFA) and a certified environmental, social and governance analyst (CESGA).

Elspeth Webster (Chair)

Non-executive Director

Elspeth led CISL’s education work in South Africa from 2008 to 2021 and is currently head tutor for CISL’s online Business and Sustainability Management programmes. With 25 years’ leadership development experience, she chairs the Routes to Resilience SA board, preparing youth for future challenges. She holds a BSc in Zoology and Biochemistry, a Postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutic Dietetics, and an MBA from UCT.

Dugan Fraser

Non-executive Director

Dugan Fraser is Program Manager of the Global Evaluation Initiative at the World Bank’s Independent Evaluation Group and a monitoring and evaluation specialist. He was previously an Adjunct Professor at Wits and Director of the Centre for Learning on Evaluation and Results. His experience includes advising civil society and managing programme strategy and evaluation at the RAITH Foundation.

William Nkutha

Non-executive Director

William is Principal Officer of the National Employee Benefits Umbrella Fund, with over 15 years’ experience in employee benefits. He holds postgraduate diplomas in Management (Retirement Funds) and Development Finance from UCT, where he has participated in transformation and employment equity committees.

Lise Pretorius

Non-executive Director

Lise is Head of Sustainability Analysis at Matter, a Danish fintech, focusing on integrating science-based data into sustainable investment tech solutions. Previously, she was Vice President at WWF Asia Sustainable Finance, supporting regional financial institutions on ESG practices. She holds a BComm Honours from UCT and an MSc in Environmental Economics from LSE.

Jarredine Morris

Non-executive Director

Jarredine is co-Head of Carbon Trust Africa and an energy and climate change policy and sustainable finance professional with over a decade of experience supporting South Africa’s transition to a low-carbon economy. She has led and advised on major just transition, energy planning and net-zero pathway initiatives, working across the public and private sectors. Jarredine brings board-level insight into policy and regulatory dynamics, stakeholder management, and the technological, economic and social dimensions of energy systems and decarbonisation. She holds a BA in Environmental Management.

Kuziva Huni

Non-executive Director

Kuziva is a development strategist with over 17 years of experience across 20 African countries. Her work focuses on the financing architecture and institutional conditions needed to move capital toward development outcomes at scale – spanning climate finance, ESG integration, carbon markets, and energy transition. She is a Partner at Intellecap Advisory Services and Director at Impact Advisory Practice, where she leads advisory mandates for governments, private sector, development finance institutions, and foundations. Kuziva holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Financing and Deploying Clean Energy from the Yale School of the Environment, an MBA from African Leadership University, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Enterprise Management from the University of Cape Town.

Sentle Nell

Non-executive Director

Sentle is the Founder and Managing Director of Estahale Advisory, a consultancy focused on demystifying climate change across Africa. She supports international donor funders in aligning climate finance with local investment opportunities tied to energy transition plans. She has delivered renewable energy projects with development banks, financiers, and governments to advance decarbonization. With expertise in energy, finance, and sustainability, she drives practical solutions that expand energy access and strengthen climate resilience. Her work reshapes financial systems to support an inclusive transition while fostering collaboration across sectors. She holds an MSc in Climate Change and Sustainability from the University of Sussex, with additional qualifications in International Relations, Development Finance, and Business Management.

Andrea Koch

Head: Finance and Operations

Andrea Koch is a chartered accountant with over 20 years of financial management experience across multiple industries, having studied at UCT and trained with Ernst & Young in Johannesburg. She has owned and managed two small businesses and later transitioned to finance roles in non-profit organisations. Since 2015, Andrea has worked with several NPOs and joined Just Share as finance manager in 2022.

Aphinda Jabe

Aphinda Jabe holds a BSc in Chemistry and Applied Statistics from UCT. Since joining Just Share in 2025, she has contributed significantly to financial institution assessments, climate change advocacy, and corporate governance analyses. She currently supports the organisation’s research and advocacy work across all three programmes.

Carmen Hilser

Head: People and Culture

Carmen joined Just Share in June 2023 with over 15 years’ asset management experience, previously serving as Chief HR Officer for a global company and HR Manager at Vunani Fund Managers. She specialises in HR strategy, labour relations, and fostering positive workplace culture. Carmen holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial and Organisational Psychology and an Honours in Applied Psychology from UNISA.

Déna Jansen

Analyst

Déna Jansen joined Just Share as a trainee researcher at the start of 2025. As an Analyst she supports all three of the core programmes of work: Climate Change, Inequality and Governance. They hold a BSc Honours in Environmental and Geographical Science from UCT with a focus on the theory of novel ecosystems and environmental management policy. In their time with Just Share, Déna has made significant contributions to the organisation’s work on board competence, AGM analysis and regulatory submissions.

Emma Schuster

Senior Climate Risk Analyst

Emma Schuster, senior climate analyst at Just Share since 2019, holds a BA LLB and an LLM (cum laude) in International Human Rights Law. She is a qualified attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Before joining Just Share, Emma worked with various South African NGOs, including contributing to the State Capture Commission of Inquiry into corruption at PRASA.

Emma’s focus is on mobilising the corporate and financial sector to support a just transition to a low-carbon, inclusive economy, and she leads Just Share’s work on corporate climate lobbying. Her writing on climate change, greenwashing, and the just transition has been published in leading South African news and academic outlets.

Joylyn Mutata

Climate Finance Analyst

Joylyn joined Just Share’s climate team in December 2025 as a climate finance analyst working at the intersection of climate risk, financial and corporate accountability. Before joining Just Share, Joylyn was an investment analyst at Nex Rubica Capital, where she supported investment appraisal, deal structuring, capital raising, and financial modelling for infrastructure projects across Africa. She also worked at the Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe, conducting due diligence and investment analysis for infrastructure projects and corporates operating along the infrastructure value chain. Joylyn is a CFA charterholder and holds a BCom in Finance from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe.

Karishma Bhoolia

Senior Climate Risk Analyst

Karishma Bhoolia is a senior climate risk analyst on Just Share’s climate team. She holds an MBA from Stellenbosch Business School, where her master’s research examined carbon disclosure quality in the JSE-listed financial sector.  She has extensive experience integrating sustainability metrics into organisational strategy and operations. Before joining Just Share, she served as global change lead for sustainability and EDIB (equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging) at Cambridge University Press and Assessment. Karishma specialises in carbon accounting, responsible investment, and ESG data management. 

Kwanele Ngogela

Head: Social Impact

Kwanele Ngogela, joined Just Share as a Senior Inequality Analyst in 2022, is completing an MBA at Wits Business School. He holds a PGDip in Sustainable Development from Stellenbosch University, a BSc (Hons) in Environmental & Water Science, and a BSc in Applied Geology from the University of the Western Cape, and is a certified Carbon Footprint Analyst (IEMA, UK). Prior to joining Just Share, he was a Sustainability Research & Measurement Analyst at Woolworths Holdings Limited, contributing to the Good Business Journey strategy, and earlier as a Data Management & Integration Assistant in the City of Cape Town’s Sustainable Energy Markets unit. Kwanele has expertise in corporate governance, sustainability, and ESG.

Lara French

Analyst

Lara French holds an MPhil specialising in Theories of Justice and Inequality from UCT. Since she joined in 2025, Lara has taken a particular interest in anti-climate lobbying and living wage advocacy at Just Share. She assists in research and advocacy across the organisation’s three core focus areas: climate, inequality, and governance.

Masutane Modjadji

Head: Strategic Communications

Masutane Modjadji joined Just Share as a communications manager in May 2024. She holds a National Diploma from CPUT, a BA Honours from the University of Witwatersrand and a Master’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Johannesburg. Masutane is a former journalist and an experienced communications specialist within the civil society sector. 

Robyn Hugo

Director: Climate Change Engagement

Robyn Hugo is an attorney and has been Just Share’s director of climate change engagement since September 2020. She holds a BA LLB from Stellenbosch University and an LLM from UCT. After 7 years at Bowmans, Robyn headed the Centre for Environmental Rights’ Pollution & Climate Change Programme for 9 years. Robyn’s experience includes environmental, climate and energy law, and litigation. She has a particular interest in climate transition plans, shareholder rights, carbon tax, air pollution, and penalties.

Casey Barclay

Intern

Casey Barclay joined Just Share as an intern in 2026 and holds a BA in Environmental Management from the University of South Africa. She has experience in project management within the non-profit sector as well as technical support consulting at a global company. At Just Share, Casey contributes to research and analysis across the organisation’s three core programmes: Climate Change, Inequality and Governance.

Caeli Partridge

Executive assistant

Caeli Partridge joined Just Share in 2026 as executive assistant, supporting the director and the operations management team. She is people-focused and a genuine enthusiast, who supports the Just Share team through seamless diary coordination and ensures that the office runs smoothly. Caeli started her career in 2008 and has built experience across events administration, virtual assistance, and hospitality, before four years as office manager and executive assistant at Nclose/Integrity360. She holds an Executive Support Diploma from UCT/GetSmarter, a Minute Taking Certification, and Microsoft-focused executive assistant qualifications from IEAA.

Odinakachi Okeke

Climate risk analyst

Odinakachi Okeke joined Just Share as a Climate Risk Analyst in 2026. His work spans the country’s largest banks and asset managers, examining how these institutions disclose, govern, and act on the climate-related risks embedded in their lending and investment decisions. He holds postgraduate qualifications in development and public policy, and his broader interest sits at the intersection of corporate decarbonization, climate finance and corporate power. Kachi’s expertise lies in financed emissions analysis and corporate climate accountability, translating complex disclosures into clear, rigorous, publicly accessible assessments that hold financial institutions to their stated commitments. Before joining Just Share, he worked in climate and sustainability research, including roles focused on the just energy transition and corporate decarbonisation in the African context.”

Ogone Lekalakala

Intern

Ogone Lekalakala joined Just Share as an intern in 2026. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science with majors in Politics and Governance and Gender Studies and a Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Gender and Transformation (cum laude) from the University of Cape Town. At Just Share, Ogone’s role contributes to the organisation’s research and shareholder advocacy across a range of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. Her primary research interest is social impact, with a particular interest in corporate accountability, labour rights, responsible investment, and business and human rights.

Rachael Nyirongo

Analyst

Rachael Nyirongo joined Just Share as an analyst in 2026. She holds an LLB from Nelson Mandela University and two LLM degrees from the University of Cape Town, specialising in Human Rights Law and Public Law, with a focus on international law. Before joining Just Share, Rachael worked with various non-profit organisations in research, advocacy and programme management, including the Institute for African Alternatives and the MEA Institute for Strategic Studies. Her work has focused on climate justice, human rights, international law, democratic accountability and parliamentary engagement. Rachael’s work at Just Share focuses on research and advocacy relating to corporate accountability, social impact and the role of business in advancing a more equitable and sustainable society.
