Karishma is a senior analyst in Just Share’s climate team. She has a keen interest in supply chain sustainability, carbon accounting and ESG analytics. Karishma is a data analyst with an MBA (cum laude) from Stellenbosch Business School. Her master’s research investigated the quality of carbon emission disclosure in the JSE-listed financial industry. This research emphasised the need for greater corporate climate accountability and the value of shareholder activism in establishing a just transition in South Africa.
Prior to joining Just Share, Karishma worked as the global change lead for sustainability and EDIB (equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging) for Cambridge University Press and Assessment. Her past work experience included managing ESG data and systems and integrating sustainability metrics and targets into organisational strategy and policy.
