Mpho Mtsi is an investment professional, entrepreneur and avid supporter of the advancement and empowerment of women and rural communities. She has recently obtained her final examination to qualify as a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA) as well as a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA). Mpho obtained a Master of Science in Global Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and NYU Stern School of Business in New York and Shanghai in 2019.
She currently works in a boutique corporate finance advisory and investment management company called Tamela Holdings, and she has also established a black women-led social enterprise rooted in the agricultural sector and specifically focused on employing and partnering with rural communities. Mpho aims to launch her foundation in rural Eastern Cape in 2019, which will specifically focus on education and access to opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship for people in rural communities.
In 2018, Mpho was recognized as one of the top 200 young South Africans by Mail and Guardian in the Science and Technology category, and she also received recognition from the Gauteng premier in 2019 for Excellence and Service in Science and Technology.
